Cari’s husband produced this segment for LXTV in Los Angeles. Though we all agree that there is no competition between Yoga and Pilates, it is fun to see these two step outside of their comfort zone. Plus, you get to see the inside of our sister studio in Los Angeles, Core Conditioning!

Joe’s Gizmos
October 22, 2011 Sat: 9a-12p
Complete your understanding of Joe’s genius in this enlightening workshop. Joe Pilates created small apparatus to target specific parts of the body: the feet, the toes, the lungs, the shoulders, the wrists and breathing. As teachers we know how important these areas are for optimal functioning in everyday life. Explore exercises on the foot corrector, toe corrector, Ped o Pull, bean bag and breathalizer to mobilize and strength the foot and ankle, toes, shoulders, wrists and lung capacity.
Remember the Elephant
October 23, 2011 Sun: 9a-12p
Remember the Elephant is a metaphor for reminding ourselves as teachers of the depth of the Pilates work. It is not just a set of fancy choreography; it is whole body integration. How do we achieve that? Two way stretch ~ one part of the body goes up as the other goes down, axial elongation or full body expansion. Help your clients get the most out of the movement by incorporating this expansion in each and every posture.
$25 conference discount for friends & clients of Paragon - call the studio to obtain discount code prior to registering for conference.
Early registration for this conference ends Sept 1st.

Pilates for Men!
New Mens Class!
Why a class just for men? Well, Joe Pilates was a man, and he invented this system of movement as well as all the equipment that is used. Men seem not too sure about the whole thing, so we designed a class just for doods doing dood-ly things with the spirit of Joe-the-Boxer in mind! Tell your husbands, male friends, boyfriends & dads! We will add more as it grows, or by request.
Welcome Ginny!
We would like to welcome the newest member of our staff, Ginny Massey, who has moved here from Iowa. Ginny owned her own studio in Forest City, and comes to us with a wonderful Pilates background. Please say hello to her when you see her. She will be doing administrative work to start, and building classes and private sessions upon request.
Welcome Kathy!
We would like to also welcome Kathy Vail, who is a highly skilled Pilates instructor with over 13 years of experience. Kathy has been teaching out of her home for years and is coming to Paragon to be part of our growing family of instructors.
